INTRODUÇÃO

Batman: Arkham VR is basically a Batman detective simulator. You are Batman (and for a brief two levels Bruce Wayne). You will spend nearly the entirety of the game investigating a single case regarding Nightwing and Robin (Tim Drake) going missing. You’ll have a heavy reliance on your wits, and some goodies from Batman’s utility belt (Batarang, scanner, and grapnel gun). If using the Move as suggested, then each controller will tie to the respective hand holding the controller. You’ll have the ability to pick things up, use your tools, and make fists (no reason but kind of neat). All of these activities are done using the and movement is performed using your own movements and the button. There is no combat, but you can die on at least one level (Tipping Point). You can also fail to achieve sufficiently high scores on the two Batarang minigames (both in the Batcave), but these can be retried and do not lead to game over or a checkpoint reload.

The game follows the story of the prior Batman Arkham games, sometime after the events of Arkham City. There are also Easter Eggs for the comics and some related to the movies/TV show as well. If you are a fan of Batman or even just have some minor background on the character you’ll have no problem following along. I do suggest refreshing yourself on the events of Arkham City if you want to gain the full experience, otherwise a key story point may not make much sense.

For those curious about how the Move controls work, it is really straightforward. The grapnel gun is on your right hip, the scanner on your left hip and batarangs in the middle of your utility belt, around your belly button. To pull out or put away a tool simply reach to the appropriate section of your body then pull . Use of the scanner and grapnel gun involves aiming them as though you would a weapon and then pulling . The batarangs are a bit different in that you need to hold the , flick your wrist and then let go of the , not the controller. This is actually how interactions with the environment work as well, as you need to keep a fist (hold ) to pick-up, carry or otherwise manipulate most items. The tracking is not perfect, as you’ll likely notice your hands clipping through things on occasion, but is light years ahead of the PS3 Move games I’ve played and is near 1-1 if calibrated properly.

You can play the game sitting or standing but I suggest standing (as does the game); the tracking seems to work much better that way.

PASSO A PASSO

Step 1: Complete the Game in its entirety to unlock the ability to obtain Riddler secrets and other collectables

Play the game and enjoy it. If you feel the need to go back to something prior to finishing the game, you can use Chapter Select to go to any level up to the furthest level you have made it to. While short (9 levels), the game is really cool. I suggest playing the game in its entirety linearly and not utilizing chapter select until after you have completed the game. The game itself is fairly linear with a specific goal for each level, this goal is generally is very straightforward and often voiced by Batman. If you are a Batman fan you are likely to really enjoy it, like a lot even.

Trophies you’ll get during this step:

To the Batcave
A Death in the Family
The Last Laugh

You may get several others as you explore as well, depending on the level of exploration you choose to employ. Don’t worry if you only get the above trophies, as none of the trophies are missable and you’ll have to replay all the levels for specific trophies again anyway.

Step 2: Replay the game using mission select to get the collectables and trophy cleanup.

This run is where you’ll clean up everything you didn’t get when enjoying the game. There are 48 collectables which all auto-save, so if you missed one you can just select the mission using Chapter Select, grab the missed item and then quit after a few seconds. There is a noise associated with the destructible collectables that sounds almost like a trophy pop; after that noise it has saved.

Some levels do require a restart via Chapter Select if you progress past a certain point without getting a collectable (Tipping Point, Bird Cage, and Reflections). This point is easily noted by changes in scenery such as dropping down from above, or entering a door that closes behind you.

As you have to replay all the level except for Origins for collectables, you’ll have an opportunity to collect the other miscellaneous trophies here as well.

Trophies you’ll get during this step:

Bad Blood
Crime Never Pays
Bite-Sized
Riddle Me This
Catch Me If You Can
Through the Looking Glass
Inside Out
Fallen Son
Bits & Pieces
Knight Out

GUIA DE COLECIONÁVEIS

GUIA DE TROFÉUS

To the Batcave
Unlock access to the Batcave

Story Related, can’t be missed. This should pop after you leave the manor by playing the piano. Alfred will give you a key after a short discussion; use this to unlock the piano cover then play a few keys. I just pounded on random keys over multiple tests and it has always worked, so there doesn’t appear to be specific keys which require playing.

A Death in the Family
Identify the witness

Story Related, can’t be missed. This should pop at the end of the Nightwing related mission Dead End. This mission consists of you investigating an attack on Nightwing. You’ll need to use the scanner to playback the attack and pull the button at certain damage points. After the attack sequence has played out and you’ve found the specific damage points, you’ll transition to trying to determine the identity of the witness. Using the same mechanic, rewind after moving to Nightwing’s left and find the full hand print left behind. Then take your vehicle to the next mission.

The Last Laugh
Identify the murderer

Story Related, can’t be missed. This should pop at the end of the Reflections mission. The murderer will be identified during a scene with limited interactivity once you have entered Joker’s cell in the asylum. Joker’s cell will be on the right at the end of the corridor.

Bad Blood
Analyze all five blood samples for infection

This can be completed in the Batcave at the Forensics section where you start.

There is one blood sample immediately in front of you, three more in a drawer to the right and one that you’ll have to create by taking the sample with the big needle gun from your own hand and putting it in the empty blue vial. To test a sample, put it in the centrifuge on the right above the drawer (three can be done at one time) then start the spinner with the red button. Once the centrifuge meter fills up hit the red button once more. Then take a vial and put it in the container on your left (you’ll need to lift it, and then push it down. This will test the sample, and tell you something about it. Repeat for each sample; the centrifuge only needs to be used twice if you put a group of three and then two in.

Crime Never Pays
Score 30 or more on the Batarang trial

This can be completed in the Batcave at the Forensics section where you start.

Turn to your left where you tested the vials and flip all three switches. This will bring up a Batarang trial. You want to avoid the red targets as they’ll take points away. You need 30 points at the end to get the trophy. I found this to be one of the more interactive action style trophies so even if you are having trouble it should be fun. Word of warning though if you have a low ceiling be cognizant of that, I punched mine which is thankfully a drop ceiling so no damage.

If you can’t get the trophy switch to a DS4. You’ll aim by looking at the targets and throwing the Batarangs with . I got 62 my first and only try while testing it out. You won’t have to “reload” either, as they will magically appear in your hand.

Bite-Sized
Discover doll sized characters

This can be completed in the Batcave at the Bat computer, to the right of the Forensics area where you start.

When at the Bat computer, pull up any of the character sheets using the buttons on the Bat computer then pick up the tablet on the right side to see a scale model of that character.

Riddle Me This
Piece together Riddler Trophy, Cube and Cane in Riddler case file

This can be completed in the Batcave at the Case Files section, to the right and behind the Forensic area where you start.

Pick the option on the far right with the question mark, then open each case file and put together the objects – they’ll click together so you shouldn’t have to worry much about your puzzle completing skills.

Catch Me If You Can
Activate thrusters on a Bat vehicle

This can be completed in the Batcave at the Bat Garage section, to the left of the Forensic area where you start.

Bring up one of the vehicles, and turn it so that you can see the afterburner, then press the button. I did this with each of the Batmobiles, as this was my last trophy before the faux plat (the gold 100% trophy). The Batwing should work as well.

Through the Looking Glass
Find and zoom view on the Mad Hatter cameo

This can be completed on the mission Dead End.

Immediately upon entering the mission, look to your right and you will see an apple. Continue turning and you will see a window. Lift either hand to your visor and pull the to zoom.

Inside Out
Place the two lungs, eyeball and cranium in to their correct locations in the anatomical model

This can be obtained in the Shrapnel level (morgue).

The model is to the right of the safe. The eyeball is on top of the safe, the cranium and one lung are next to the model, and the final lung is two sections behind you at the safe (to the left of the first body).

Fallen Son
Analyze all four pieces of evidence from Batman’s past failures

This can be obtained in the Shrapnel level (morgue).

You’ll need to first get a key card from the body in the drawer on the left. This is likely the third body you’ll scan. To open the drawer, you’ll need a key which is in a safe (code 425). The key card is on near wall of the drawer, I had to lean forward and look left to find it. Grabbing the key may prove somewhat difficult, but it shouldn’t take more than a couple tries. Once you have the key card, go back to the section behind you with the tape recorder. Use the key card on the door to your left then scan each of the items in there (Crowbar Joker beat Jason Todd with, Nightwing’s Escrima stick, Gun Joker crippled Batgirl with, and Joker’s Blood which was sent to the hospitals in Arkham City). I had trouble scanning the gun and had to move my scanner way back to get it, while the others were more straightforward to scan.

Bits & Pieces
Destroy all 18 CCTV Cameras, Fuse Boxes and AR Batarang targets

There are three items to “collect” in each level from Batcave to Reflections. There is a tracker keeping count of the collectables found in the lower left corner of the Chapter Select screen.

Knight Out
100% the game. Complete the main story, find all Riddler secrets and acquire all the trophies.

This is the faux plat combined with another collectable trophy (as you don’t need the Riddler secrets to unlock Bits & Pieces. To obtain this, you’ll need to have completed every level, obtained all the Riddler secrets and destruction collectables, and obtained the rest of the trophies in the game. There are Riddler secrets in each level except for Origins. The trophy will pop after you have obtained the other trophies and completed the final Riddler secret. The Chapter Select screen shows you which level you have missing Riddler secrets on and which ones you have collected.
