Look no further, you have found the right game for you! Detroit: Become Human is the latest game from French game developer Quantic Dream who brought to you games like Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls. This time, however, they’ll show you a future in which the technology is so advanced that many people lost their jobs due to the fact that androids can do every work better than a human being will ever be able to.

Create your own story and become a witness of the fight between humans and machines… Meet Kara, Markus and Connor, three androids who couldn’t be more different from each other. They have one thing in common though, they all want to be free… or do they, really? There are lots of decisions to make, lots of lifes to save and many endings to discover. Step 1: Play through the game, be peaceful as Markus, be friends with Hank and let everyone survive at the end

If you decide that you want to follow the guide right from the start, make sure that you pay attention to a few important things. Since violence will end up with a few dead characters, try to stay peaceful as Markus, don’t kill any humans, take the security android from Spare Parts with you and do a demonstration instead of a revolution in the end.
Be always friendly with Hank, don’t kill any deviants as Connor (except the one during Public Enemy) and absolutely make sure to examine the photo on Hank’s kitchen table during Russian Roulette. Have Connor become a deviant and resist hacking attempt from CyberLife towards the end. Also, make sure to let Connor die while saving Emma in the first chapter (See MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ) so you don’t need to start there again on your second playthrough.

Don’t let Kara and Alice getting captured or killed and always save characters when they need help. Let Alice & Kara sleep in the abandoned car. While you’re on it, try to collect all possible magazines on your way since you can’t collect all in one playthrough (some magazines are dependent on your choices during the game).
Since some characters can die very early, thus locking you out of some chapters, you could technically miss some trophies during your first playthrough. Go for SURVIVORS  and you’ll be fine for most trophies. You can use chapter select for missed trophies later on, though. Make sure that you never lose a QTE for UNDEFEATED , so better play on Casual difficulty.

Step 2: Play the last few chapters again

While this sounds like a chore, it’s still very quick to do. Use chapter select (saving activated), go to Freedom March (loading the last checkpoint there is enough) and choose to charge at the police for a new magazine. You will now be playing from this point on up until the end without jumping between chapters. Have Connor become a deviant again in Crossroads and choose to do a revolution as Markus during Night of the Soul. During Battle for Detroit, when Alice and Kara need to sneak past the soldiers, let them getting caught there so they’ll end up in the Recycling Center. Reach the end of Markus’ revolution so he frees Kara and Alice (and the other androids) and starts to hold his speech. Let CyberLife take control of Connor this time.
When finished, start Kara’s part in Battle for Detroit again using chapter select and this time, successfully sneak past the soldiers to reach the bus stop and read the magazine on the ground.

At the end of this step, you should have earned the following trophies:

Step 3: Die at every opportunity as Connor, let everyone else die as soon as possible and often make opposite choices from what you chose before

In this step, we want to let Connor die at every opportunity in the game. As there are some other decision trophies left, we will go for them most of the time (with a few exceptions).
If you did what the guide says, you only need to start at the chapter Broken while saving is activated and do the opposite from what you did before. That’s important for a trophy and another magazine later on. If you didn’t let Connor die during The Hostage, you can’t start at Broken and need to play from the first chapter up until the end to get all of Connor’s deaths. Let Kara and Alice sleep in the squat and initiate the highway chase, then let them die in Zlatko (after Kara read the magazine and found Alice there). Don’t take the security android from Spare Parts with you, let Simon die during The Stratford Tower (don’t kill the guard so he rings the alarm), conduct a violent riot as Markus and let him die during Freedom March by standing his ground. Connor also needs to stay a machine and be hostile with Hank during this playthrough. Always keep saving activated and don’t jump between chapters.
There’s no need to complete this playthrough, so stop after a certain character committed suicide and getting I’LL BE BACK .

Step 4: Clean up some other trophies and the last few magazines

We’re now going to do a few things for which you need to replay certain parts again.
Shoot the escaping employee from The Stratford Tower so nobody gets hurt during that chapter (loading the last checkpoint is enough if you made sure to close the door of the maintenance room). When finished, go back to chapter select and reload the last checkpoint of the same chapter again. This time, don’t shoot the employee so a SWAT team will hurt Simon. Save him but don’t kill him afterwards, so he will hide and Connor can connect to him in the next chapter (they’re back to back to each other). Load the last checkpoint of The Nest and do the opposite from what you did before (Save Hank or keep chasing Rupert).
If you still miss something (trophies, magazines..), clean up the rest. Now you can also go back to the main menu and buy everything from the gallery until you’ve spent 20.000 bonus points.

For this trophy to unlock, you’ll need to complete the first chapter of the game, The Hostage. The outcome for this mission doesn’t matter, but it’s recommended to save Emma. To learn how to do this, please see MISSION ACCOMPLISHED  for more information.

Chapter: The Hostage

There are multiple ways to save Emma as there are different outcomes to this scenario. However, some of the choices you make will result in saving Emma while other choices will result in her (or even Connor’s) death.

Do some things before confronting Daniel and trying to save Emma:

  • On the floor in the room where you spoke to Captain Allen. Analyze the gun case to learn that the android took a gun.
  • Go into Emma’s bedroom where you can pick up a tablet on the computer desk to learn that the android’s name is Daniel.
  • Examine the bodies of the two victims in the living room. You will learn that the police officer’s gun can be found under the table. Pick up the gun. You’ll also learn that Daniel was going to be replaced when you pick up the tablet from the corner of the living room.

When you’re ready, go outside to the balcony to confront Daniel.

For the sake of the fastest way to platinum, we need to save Emma while killing Connor. Choose the following options while going towards Daniel:

Chapter: A New Home

For this trophy to unlock, you’ll need to have Kara open Alice’s box by gaining her trust. After some story events, you’ll end up cleaning Alice’s room. Do so and you get the option to talk to Alice.

She will then run away and give Kara a key. Open the box in Alice’s room and you’ve met the requirements for this trophy.

 DEVIANT LOCATED 
Connor found the deviant in the attic

Chapter: Partners
Note: This trophy is a prerequisite for the CONFESSION  trophy.

For this trophy, you’ll need to find the deviant in the attic. When you meet Hank for the first time, try to be as friendly with him as possible. That’s important for another trophy, refer to PARTNERS .

When you arrive at the crime scene, you’ll need to find clues about what happened there. To find clues, use the  button to look around and scan the area. Don’t waste too much time or Hank wants to go.

After finding all clues and being ready to solve the case, report to Hank and tell him the following (buttons are randomized here!):

  • … in the kitchen
  • … with the bat
  • The android stabbed the victim
  • … the living room
  • … with the knife

You’ll come to the conclusion that the android must still be there, so you need to find him. Use the  button to scan the area. Follow the blue blood trail to a wall you can examine and you’ll learn that there was a ladder before. Check the attic door, take a chair from the kitchen and climb it to reach the attic. Inside, you’ll find the deviant and end the chapter.

Chapter: Stormy Night

For this trophy, you’ll need to have both Kara and Alice escape from Todd’s house alive. Some events can lead to their death, so be careful.

Do as follows after Kara became a deviant:

  • Go upstairs and run straight to Alice’s room (last one on the right of the corridor)
  • Go to Alice
  •  Lock Room
  • Go to the door and lock the room
  • Now turn towards the window it and open it quickly
  •  Go out
  •  Join Alice
  • Take Alice and slide down the pipe
  • Run towards the bus to finally escape

 DEFEND YOURSELF

Chapter: Broken

The chapter Broken has two possible outcomes. To learn how to reach the other outcome, please see SELF-CONTROL . This can also be done via Chapter Select later on.

For this trophy, however, you’ll need to break free as Markus and select the option  Push Leo when he attacks you.

Chapter: Broken

Chapter: The Interrogation

This chapter only happens if you found the deviant in the attic in Partners.

Connor and Hank will need to get information out of the deviant without it getting so stressed that he self-destructs. After Hank gives up interrogating the deviant, Connor steps in. To get the android to confess, you need to raise the stress level until it’s optimal. You can do this by showing it the evidence against it, threatening it, and being truthful about what is going to happen to it.

Below is an example of how you can make the android confess and gaining its trust:

Chapter: Fugitives

In Fugitives, Kara and Alice need to choose between a few places to spend the night.

Sleeping in the squat:

After leaving the bus, you’ll find yourself in a huge area with different locations. Scan the area using  and check the available locations. You should notice an abandoned parking lot, go there. Before reaching it, however, there’ll be a bit of story and you need to talk to Alice before being able to continue. Afterwards, you can enter the parking lot after checking it with . Kara and Alice could sleep in the car there, but instead check the fence on the background. To enter, find the wire cutters near the entrance of the parking lot and cut the fence.

Once you’ve entered the backyard of the squat, try to find a way in and meet Ralph after a few events. You need to be friendly with him to be able to sleep in the squat.

Some additional information about Hank:

It’s not important for the trophy, but it’s important for later on, so take note of it now: There will be a chapter called Russian Roulette later in the game where you will find one of the most important clues about Hank. When Hank is getting dressed, you can investigate his house. Check the kitchen table with  and then examine and analyze the photo on the table to reveal a very important dialogue option in a later chapter.

Chapter: On The Run

Depending on where you spent the night, you’ll start in different places. If you stayed in the squat, there’ll be a chase a few minutes into the chapter. Simply run away from the police and from Connor while controlling Kara, and don’t follow Kara when you get to control Connor so you can let her escape.

In case you spent the night in the abandoned car or in the motel, Kara gets the possibility to sneak past the police patrols without initiating a chase. Just avoid cops that are getting close to you, look around and hide when necessary. If you reached the train safely, you met the requirements for the trophy as well.

 CATCH IT 
Connor caught up with Rupert

Chapter: The Nest

You need to find all important clues in the bird apartment to find out that the android which Hank and Connor are looking for is still in there. After entering the main room of apartment, go left and enter the bathroom. Look at the wall and analyze the stool on the ground afterwards. Once you’re done with reconstructing what happened, leave the bathroom and analyze the cage right in front of you on the ground. Once you did that, examine the big chair and start to chase Rupert this way. (Additional: In case you want to catch up to Rupert during your first playthrough, make sure to examine the poster at the back of the appartement to find his diary.)

Don’t lose sight of him and you will reach a roof where Rupert pushes Hank who then falls over the ledge. You need to choose between continuing the chase or saving Hank. For this trophy, choose  Chase Deviant.

 SAVE HANK

Chapter: The Nest

You need to find all important clues in the bird apartment to find out that the android Hank and Connor are looking for is still in there. After entering the main room of the apartment, go left and enter the bathroom. Look at the wall and analyze the stool on the ground afterwards. Once you’re done with reconstructing what happened, leave the bathroom and analyze the cage right in front of you on the ground.  ESCAPE THE MANOR 
Kara and Alice escaped Zlatko’s house

Chapter: Zlatko

Kara and Alice end up in Zlatko’s house after escaping from the police. Zlatko brings Kara to the basement where he tries to reset her.
The fastest way to escape is to prevent Kara from resetting, so when she’s caught in the machine, look to the left and knock over the monitor. Then turn right and pull the green cable with  so Kara will be able to free herself.

Leave the basement room and open the left cell on the corridor to free some other androids. Kara needs to find Alice now, so leave the basement and go upstairs to let a 10 minute timer appear. You can now go to the end of the upstairs corridor and go through to last door you can find (need to turn a few corners), ignoring all other doors. There’s a magazine in one of the rooms, though, so refer to BOOKWORM .

Once you have found Alice, you need to escape together. Try to sneak through the house and once Zlatko discovers you, win all the QTEs to end up downstairs. Decide to leave through the back door and Luther will join Kara and Alice after a few scenes.

 RUTHLESS 
The Tracis were killed

Chapter: Eden Club

You’ll only see the opportunity to get this trophy if you’re fast enough finding the Tracis during Eden Club.

When Hank and Connor arrive at the Eden Club, go inside to eventually reach a room in which a murder took place. Examine the corpse on the bed to reconstruct what happened there, then continue with analyzing the body of the android on the floor (Analyze and Diagnose). After that, Connor will be able to reactivate it and speak to it.

The android will be deactivated again after that and your target now is to find the other android who strangled the customer. Leave the room and go straight towards a tube with a female android in it (Tube 9). After Connor tried to rent the android but isn’t able to, you’ll need to get back to Hank so he can pay for it. Connor will then connect to it and notice that some of the androids of the club may have seen where the fugitive android went.

To find the android now, check the following things in the right order and locate it with  every time:

  • Tube 14
  • Tube 17
  • Tube 25 (in the red room)
  • Tube 23 (in the blue room)
  • Enter the room you saw through the android in tube 23 – Fugitive is gone
  • Connect to the android that is cleaning the floor

Now Connor is able to go through a staff door and reach a warehouse. Go down the stars, turn right and analyze the blue blood on the ground. Afterwards, you’ll be able to go straight to the back of the warehouse. Look at the androids on the right with  and a fighting scene starts. Win the fight and when Connor picks up the gun, press  Shoot.

 JERICHO’S HERO 
Markus got enough parts

Chapter: Spare Parts

In Spare Parts, follow the other androids over the crates until you need to destroy a drone. Do so and you will reach some other crates with lots of blue blood and components you can loot. However, once you do, Markus and the others are disturbed by a security android who wants to raise alarm. It is interrupted by a human who is searching for it, so act quickly and do the following to make sure there won’t be alarm:

  • Camera on security android:  Grab and Hide
  •  Hold

You can then continue looting and the android will ask you to take him with you. Accept (can be important for later) and he will tell you about a truck full of parts. You can take the chance or not, but if you were able to loot the crates, you’ll get the trophy.

 JUST A MACHINE 
Hank killed Connor

Chapter: The Bridge(+ prerequisite from other chapters)

For this to happen, you need Connor to be as mean and cruel to Hank as possible. When given dialogue options, choose the coldest answer and when given the opportunity to save Hank, don’ do it. You should combine this trophy with I’LL BE BACK , so refer to it to see some more details.

Make sure that Hank is hostile towards you upon reaching The Bridge.

Partners

  • After finding him at the bar, threat him and spill his drink
  • In the car in front of the crime scene, reply with  Firm

The Interrogation

  • Probe the deviant’s memory to stress him and let Connor die

Waiting for Hank

  • Ask him about basketball and why he hates androids
  • Don’t ask him about his dog and don’t talk to him about music

On the Run

  • When Hank doesn’t want you to follow Kara, choose  Go
  • Die by failing the QTEs

The Nest

  • Initiate the scene where Connor chases the deviant
  • Die after the first greenhouse or (if you don’t want the death here for some reason)
  • When you caught up to the deviant and he pushes Hank, choose  Chase deviant

Russian Roulette

After putting Hank in the tub:

  • Explore the house or don’t, doesn’t matter. It’s highly recommended to examine the kitchen table so Connor can analyze the photo and get a new dialogue option during the bridge.

Chapter: The Pirates’ Cove

If Kara, Alice and Luther reached this chapter, this scene will always occur at the end of it. It doesn’t matter what you do here, Alice will end up on the merry-go-round and you will get the trophy.

 WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER 
Markus broadcasted his message without raising an alarm or having a team casualty

Chapter: Stratford Tower

If you want the public opinion of androids to be positive, don’t go for this trophy since you need to shoot a human which will lower the androids’ reputation.

  • When Markus and North enter the maintenance room, make sure that the first thing you do is closing the door so there won’t be any human interfering you
  • When seeing the two security guards at the top floor, choose  Ruse.
  • After sending the operator androids out of the broadcast room, one of the staff members runs away to hit the alarm. Choose  Shoot so there won’t be a SWAT team attacking Markus and the others after sending their speech.

 A GLIMPSE OF JERICHO 
Connor connected to Simon

Chapter: Public Enemy

To make Connor being able to connect to Simon, Simon must have been shot and left behind on the roof during The Stratford Tower. You can do this by sparing the employee who is rushing out of the broadcast room so that he will raise alarm and send a SWAT team after you. Simon gets shot, save him, but leave him behind on the roof when Markus and the others want to jump. Don’t kill him!

When Connor and Hank reach the investigation scene on the highest floor of the tower, go to the roof immediately and scan the blue blood in front of you. Follow its trail until you reach Simon’s hideout. Simon will start shooting at Connor and he will get to cover. Press  Charge Deviant, win the QTEs and Connor will automatically connect to Simon.

Note: Simon kills himself afterwards, so avoid going to the roof if you’re going for SURVIVORS 

 SEND A MESSAGE 
Markus conducted a pacifist riot

Chapter: Capitol Park

To conduct a riot in the first place, make sure you deactivated the patrolling drone before trying to crash into the CyberLife store with a truck. Otherwise, Markus and North need to escape and won’t be able to do anything at all.

For this one, Markus isn’t allowed to vandalize.

  • Benches: Tag (choose whatever symbol you like)
  • Screens: Hijack
  • Statue: Tag
  • Cars: Move on Road
  • Refuse the Molotov that North offers to you at the kiosk. Plant flag instead.
  • Window: Tag (choose whatever you like to write on the window)
  • Bus Stop: Hack

Chapter: Capitol Park

To conduct a riot in the first place, make sure you deactivated the patrolling drone before trying to crash into the CyberLife store with a truck. Otherwise, Markus and North need to escape and won’t be able to do anything at all.

For this trophy, be as violent as possible.

  • Take the Molotov that North offers to you at the kiosk

Chapter: Midnight Train

About halfway through the chapter, a cop will knock on the door to investigate if there are any androids in the area. Kara will need to clean up any evidence of androids in the house and convince the cop that there aren’t any androids there.

When the cop knocks on the door:

  • Change magazine cover: On the dining room table. If you looked at it and you left it while being on the android ad, you need to change it to the other magazine cover
  • Hide blue blood: Under the stairs is a small cupboard full of android supplies. Close the door to hide them
  • Tell Alice & Luther to hide: Talk to Luther and tell him to hide Alice ( Upstairs)
  • Shut the door to the laundry room: To the left of the front door is the laundry room (where the female android just shut down). Close the door to this room
  • Hide the android clothes: To the right of the TV is a dresser with some android clothes on top. Hide the clothes inside the dresser

Open the door to let the cop in. If you couldn’t hide all evidence about androids before opening the door, you can hide them while the cop is inside the house. You can’t hide the evidences he’s standing close to, though. Additionally, in case you weren’t fast enough to send Alice and Luther upstairs, you’ll need to close the curtains of the chamber in the kitchen so the cop won’t find them.

When Kara offers to make him coffee, go to the kitchen and do so.

Attention! Markus can technically die this way. If you’re on your playthrough for SURVIVORS , only do this if you took John (the security android from Spare Parts) with you. Otherwise, Simon (if at least NEUTRAL) will sacrifice himself for Markus and you won’t have everyone alive at the end. If Simon is already dead and you had refused to take John with you, Markus will die.

Chapter: Last Chance, Connor

If you decided to spare Chloe during Meet Kamski, Connor and Hank didn’t get the location of Jericho. You also won’t have gotten the location if you decided to shoot her but asked about something else than Jericho. That’s when you need to find the location out by yourself. Depending on your choices during the game, there are several possibilites to locate Jericho.

After some conversation, you need to take the key to enter the evidence room. Either find a distraction yourself or Hank will distract Perkins so you can grab the key from his desk and go to the evidence room. Hank’s password is FUCKINGPASSWORD, you will need it to enter.

Whatever you did on your playthrough, always examine the android bodies hanging on the wall to get to know what bio-components they have and which are needed to reactivate them.

If you were able to find the deviant in Partners (Refer to DEVIANT LOCATED ), found all clues there and gained his trust during The Interrogation (Refer to CONFESSION ), you can examine the evidence locker and take the statuette. You can’t do much with it now, so put it back and look at the video of the deviant from the attic. Take it, watch it and you will hear him say “The truth is inside” again. This will give you a new option for the statuette, so pick it up again and break it.
Now Connor can reactivate some of the androids and probe their memory (works with the deviant from the broadcast tower or with Simon if you let him die).

In case you can’t do anything with the statuette or didn’t find it during Partners, there’s another way. Reactivate the broadcaster deviant (or Simon) from The Stratford Tower and talk to it, but it won’t tell you the location of Jericho. Go to the evidence locker, watch Marcus’ video and take a sample of his voice. You can then talk to the deviant again and get the location of Jericho.

Other methods are as follows:

  • Chased Rupert during The Nest so he committed suicide, and you also found his diary in the appartement (behind the poster on the wall): Check the diary, reactivate Rupert, connect to him and you’ll be able to decipher the code from the diary
  • Killed the Tracis in Eden Club: Reactivate the blue-haired Traci, remove the head from the other one and go back to the reactivated Traci. She will give you the location of Jericho thinking that you’re her lover

 THREE AT JERICHO 
Bring the three characters to Crossroads

Chapter: Crossroads

To have all three characters reach Crossroads, Kara and Markus need to be alive and Connor must have found the location of Jericho either by himself in Last Chance, Connor or by asking Kamski in Meet Kaski. Just make sure to lose none of your characters during your playthrough.

Chapter: Crossroads 

To have Markus detonating the freighter, he needs to be alive and reach the bottom of Jericho once it’s attacked by humans. Make sure to save Josh on your way in case you’re going for SURVIVORS . When you reach the bomb, win the QTEs and try to escape from the ship afterwards. North will be attacked, save her and you’ll jump out of the ship together before it detonates.

If Markus is already dead, then North can make Connor a deviant. In this case, reach the bottom as Connor and escape from the ship.

Chapter: Night of the Soul / Battle for Detroit 

Markus must have chosen to do a revolution during Night of the Soul. Don’t do it when you’re going for SURVIVORS[/B]  since doing a revolution ends up with a lot of dead characters.

During Night of the Soul, Markus will talk to his people and bring up an important decision. You need to choose the revolution to be able to fight your way to the recycling camps (and save Kara, Alice and Luther if they ended up in a camp). If you reach the end with a high success rate, Markus is able to shoot at the tank. This will help liberate the androids from the camps and getting you the trophy.

Be sure to have the androids in the first row attack while you need the androids in the back for covering fire. Whenever you decided over your androids’ actions, go forward when the game tells you that there is a low risk of getting shot.

 MORAL VICTORY

Chapter: Night of the Soul / Battle for Detroit 

Markus must have chosen to do a demonstration during Night of the Soul. If you’re going for SURVIVORS , that’s the way you want to choose. Otherwise, you will end up with some dead characters.

During Night of the Soul, Markus will talk to his people and bring up an important decision. You need to choose the demonstration to be able to get the humans understand the androids’ feelings. Make sure that you were always friendly with humans (never shot people, Markus had a peaceful speech as well as a peaceful riot and so on) so that their opinion about androids is supportive.

Markus and his androids will build a camp after they were stopped by the police and Perkins offers Markus a deal. Refuse to talk to him or talk to him and decline the offer, just don’t sacrifice Markus! The humans will then attack the camp and the androids need to defend themselves while getting pushed back which ends in another decision.

Now, there are two options that will lead to getting this trophy: Kiss North or Sing. Kissing North is only available if you built a love relationship with her while singing is always available. Do whatever you wish, but don’t sacrifice yourself as Markus since it will lead to his and the other androids’ deaths.

 ESCAPE DEATH

Chapter: Crossroads and/or Battle for Detroit 

There are two different ways how Kara and Alice can end up in the recycling center. You either got caught during Crossroads or you got caught while trying to reach the bus stop during Battle for Detroit. It’s highly recommend that you’re going for the trophy in combination with Markus’ revolution.

During Crossroads, Kara and Alice run away from the police and you will need to choose  Surrender and Obey when they’re assaulted. That will take them to the recycling center. Alternative: During Battle for Detroit, get caught by the soldiers when trying to sneak past them.

After some events at the recycling center, Kara needs to find Alice and make sure to reduce her stress level. Talk to the Jerrys to find her. You can then initiate a few events at a gate that lead to another line and you will end up in a line to the opposite of Alice. Look around to find androids who can help you to distract the soldiers to sneak to Alice. These can be either Jerry or one of the androids you freed from Zlatko’s basement.

If Markus is doing a revolution and is successful, you will be done once you’ve reached Alice. After a few cutscenes, Kara and Alice will be saved right after entering the recycling machine since the soldiers are getting killed by the attacking androids.

In the case you did not combine the recycling center with the revolution and decided to demonstrate instead, you’ll need a few more steps.

  • Look around and see a fence on the right, examine it with . That is necessary to determine it as your route to escape from the recycling center.
  • Look around further and check everyone you see with . You need to find someone you can sacrifice. That can be either Ralph, Luther or an android from Zlatko’s basement, depending on what you did during your playthrough
  • Choose anyone (don’t choose Luther if you don’t have HAPPY FAMILY  or want to go for SURVIVORS , and flee to the escape route you just discovered
  • When giving a choice, decide to protect Alice and win the QTE

Chapter: Battle for Detroit

Connor needs to become a deviant during Crossroads, be friends with Hank and know about his son by checking his photo on the kitchen table in Hank’s house during Russian Roulette.

When Connor goes to CyberLife to convert the Androids, he will be escorted by two soldiers you will need to kill while being on the elevator. Look up first and hack the security camera, then go for killing the left one first and continue with the right one. Afterwards, operate the keypad of the elevator and imitate the voice of Agent 54.

Connor will end up in the warehouse full of deactivated androids. Once you try to convert them, you will be interrupted by another Connor who is holding Hank as a hostage. When you get the choice between saving Hank or sacrificing him, choose  Save Hank. A fight starts and you will need to choose  Interpose. Win the QTEs and Hank must decide which Connor is his real partner. Choose  Sumo, followed by  Cole and you’ll be able to continue converting the androids.

Chapter: Battle for Detroit 

If Markus is alive and Connor became a deviant, Connor will join Markus and the other people from Jericho. Connor needs to survive during his mission in the CyberLife tower so he can convert the androids and bring them to Markus. Once Markus is starting his speech and Connor stands behind him, CyberLife will try to take control over Connor to kill Markus. Don’t do anything, so Connor will draw a gun and shoot Markus.

There are some other scenarios to earn this trophy as well (if Connor stayed a machine, for example). Whatever you do, choose to shoot Markus/North to get it.

Chapter: Battle for Detroit

If Markus is alive and Connor became a deviant, Connor will join Markus and the other people from Jericho. Connor needs to survive during his mission in the CyberLife tower so he can convert the androids and bring them to Markus. Once Markus is starting his speech and Connor stands behind him, CyberLife will try to take control over Connor to kill Markus. To resist the hacking attempt, you need to go forward and to the right to reach the blue glowing button when you get the control of Connor in the snowy Zen garden. Use it and Connor will escape his programming.

There are some other scenarios where CyberLife will try to hack Connor. Whatever scenario you’re in, always get to the blue glowing thing in the Zen garden and use it.

Connor must follow his instructions during the game and try everything to catch the deviants. It also helps to die a lot as Connor, so it’s better to go for it while being on your I’LL BE BACK  playthrough.
Examples on how to reduce software instability: Kill the Tracis, follow Kara over the highway and try to catch her or kill Chloe at Kamski’s house. Be confident about being a machine all the time.

When Connor found Jericho and confrontates Markus (or North if Markus died), he will need to choose between staying a machine or becoming a deviant. To have him stay a machine, choose  Remain a machine.

Chapter: Crossroads

Connor must have experienced a lot of situations in which he acted against his instructions so he gains a high software instability.
Examples: Save Hank instead of chasing Rupert, don’t kill the Tracis, don’t follow Kara over the highway, don’t kill Chloe and so on. It’s also better to be friendly with Hank. If you’re going for SURVIVORS  make Connor a deviant!

When he found Jericho and confrontates Markus (or North if Markus died), he will need to choose between staying a machine or becoming a deviant. To make him a deviant, choose  Become a deviant.

 UNDEFEATED 
Don’t lose any fight before reaching the end

There’ll be several fighting scenes during the whole game and you’re not allowed to lose any of them. It’s okay to miss a button prompt, but don’t miss too often or you’ll lock yourself out of this trophy when it results in losing a fight. You can keep track of some fights with the help of the flowchart like for the fight against the Tracis in Eden Club, but there doesn’t seem to be a box on the flowchart for every fight, so always be careful. The easiest way is to choose casual difficulty so the button prompts are easier.

There are 46 magazines in total. Go to the main menu and choose “Extras” – “Magazines” to keep track of them. You don’t need to read the full magazines, it’s enough to look at their covers! There are 2 magazines most of the time, but there are some exceptions. Additionally, some magazines are connected to specific decisions you made during your playthrough.

 PARTNERS 
Hank and Connor were friends until the end

For this trophy, Connor needs to become a deviant. Don’t let him stay a machine or they won’t be friends at the end! To make sure that Connor and Hank are friends, always be friendly and sympathize with him. Solve cases by fully reconstructing them and don’t kill anyone. Also don’t let Connor die too often or Hank’s relationship to Connor will be reduced!

There are many opportunities to gain or lose Hank’s trust, but while being friendly to him also make sure to do the following things:

  • Partners: Solve the case and find the deviant in the attic.
  • The Interrogation: After the deviant has confessed, intervene when the cops try to bring him out of the room.
  • On The Run: If Connor chases Kara, don’t climb over the fence to follow her.
  • The Nest: Save Hank when he is hanging on the ledge.
  • Russian Roulette: When you brought Hank his clothes and he gets dressed, you’ll get the opportunity to investigate his house. Make sure to check the kitchen table with  and then examine and analyze the photo on it so you will find about Hank’s deceased son. Very important for later!
  • Eden Club: Find the Tracis and don’t shoot them.
  • Public Enemy: When Connor has found the deviant and was able to avoid his shutdown (look at the left, remove the knife and crawl towards your thirium pump regulator the deviant ripped out), the deviant will try to initiate a massaker. Turn to the right, choose to take the gun and shoot it. This will save Hank and all other people at the tower.
  • Meet Kamski: Don’t shoot Chloe.

After Connor became a deviant in Crossroads, don’t let Markus kill him in Night of the Soul. Connor will then offer to go to the CyberLife tower to convert androids to fight on Markus’ side.

During Battle for Detroit, Connor will end up in the CyberLife warehouse full of deactivated androids. Once you try to convert them, you will be interrupted by another Connor who is holding Hank as a hostage. When you get the choice between saving Hank or sacrificing him, choose  Save Hank. A fight starts and you will need to choose  Interpose. Win the QTEs and Hank must decide which Connor is the real one. Choose  Sumo, followed by Cole and you’ll be able to continue converting the androids.

Later, when Markus is holding his speech in front of all the androids, Connor must resist the hacking attempt by CyberLife. Refer to MY TURN TO DECIDE  on how to do that.

 HAPPY FAMILY 
Kara, Alice, Luther are together at the end

Kara, Alice and Luther must have survived every opportunity so they can reach the Canada border together (Alternative: They can survive and escape the recycling center together, but we’ll use the Canadian border method for this guide). Firstly, Kara and Alice must have survived until Zlatko’s house from where they need to escape so Luther joins them.

Once they are together, you must do the following to have them stay together and get to Canada safely:

  • Midnight Train: Refer to NOTHING TO SEE HERE  on how to succeed in fooling the cop and make Luther survive this chapter.
  • Crossroads: While escaping from Jericho, Kara needs to save Luther in the corridor. He will be left behind after you’ve rescued him, but that’s okay for now, don’t worry. When Kara and Alice are assaulted by the police, play dead and don’t move when they check up on them. This will make them go away without Alice and Kara getting killed or caught.
  • Night of the Soul: As Markus, choose to do a peaceful demonstration.
  • Battle for Detroit: When Kara and Alice are on their way to the bus station and need to sneak past the police, they will find a captured Luther. Decide to save him and choose the risky route that only takes 3 minutes afterwards. When speaking to the soldier, lie about Alice, stay calm, say Alice is cold and don’t do anything when Luther wants you to shoot.
  • Battle for Detroit 2: At the bus station, go to the left to get some tickets from a family who accidentally lose theirs. Don’t give the family their tickets back when they ask you about them. There’ll also be some patrolling soldiers trying to scan you, avoid that. Go to the ticket control after stealing the tickets and reach the bus. Avoid getting brought to the boat by Rose at all cost, you MUST steal the tickets from the family as soon as possible.
  • Battle for Detroit 3: At the border control, don’t sacrifice anyone when you’re about to be scanned. If Markus is doing a peaceful demonstration and the public opinion of androids is supportive, you will reach Canada without being killed.

  • When you’re done talking to Captain Allen, turn around and see the case on the ground
  • Analyze it (2 spots) and reconstruct what happened
  • Leave the bedroom and turn left to find a dead body near some couches in the living room
  • Analyze the body (4 spots) and reconstruct again
  • You’ll find out about a tablet in the corner, go there and take it
  • Now turn around and examine the dead body near the dining table
  • Analyze it (3 spots) and reconstruct.
  • You can now interact with the weapon under the dining table, take it with you
  • Approach the exit to the balcony and analyze the blue blood on the ground
  • Go outside
  • When the cutscene is over,  Name

Chapter: On the Run
(Kara and Alice will need to be seen by a cop so Connor chases them onto the freeway)

When you have control of Connor and Hank is telling you not to jump the fence (Kara and Alice need to get safely to the other side of the first highway):

Chapter: The Nest

When you have found the deviant and you’re chasing him, you’ll run through a greenhouse. After that greenhouse, you can jump over a ledge. Do so and miss every QTE afterwards.

Chapter: The Bridge

Hank must be hostile towards Connor. Check JUST A MACHINE  on how to achieve that. Ask him personal questions about the photo on his kitchen table, be cold and always make sure that you’re positive about being a machine.

Chapter: Public Enemy

Don’t go to the roof! Instead, analyze the rightmost spot on the broadcasting panel (Check CCTV) and go to the kitchen afterwards. You’ll need to interrogate the 3 androids there, the deviant is the one on the left. After interrogating and finding out who the deviant is, the deviant will attack Connor. Don’t do anything and let time run out so he dies.

Chapter: Last Chance, Connor

Get the keys to the archives. When Gavin talks to you, ignore him ( Leave). Find out the location of Jericho and Gavin will attack Connor in the archive room. Don’t do anything, lose the QTE and Connor will die.

Chapter: Crossroads

Stay a machine. When Connor is confronted by a soldier, choose  Attack. Lose the QTEs and you’ll get Connor’s last death.

The trophy won’t appear right after Crossroads. Instead, you’ll need to see the conversation between Hank and Connor during Night of the Soul. The trophy will unlock afterwards.

Story related. Cannot be missed.

Just play through the game once to unlock the trophy. It doesn’t matter what decisions you make or who is alive at the end, you just need to finish it.

It is recommended, however, that you do the run that keeps everyone alive for SURVIVORS. This will be the longest playthrough available, but will also grant most of trophies.

Spend 20,000 bonus points

Go to the main menu and choose Extras. You can spend your bonus points for Artworks, Videos, Soundtracks and character models on the gallery. If you don’t have enough points after your first playthrough, don’t worry since you get more points while making different choices and filling the flowcharts, so just come back at a later point.

 SURVIVORS 
Everyone is alive at the end

The important characters for this trophy are Markus, Connor, Kara, North, Hank, Alice, Luther, Simon and Josh. There are several opportunities for the characters to die, so always be careful what you do and win every QTE.

Here’s a list of what to do for each character to keep them alive.

Markus:
Always choose the peaceful way and make sure the public opinion about androids is supportive in the end!

  • Freedom March: Disperse or stand your ground if you took the security android from Spare Parts with you. If not, the only way to survive here is to disperse.
  • Crossroads: Let Connor become a deviant and win all QTEs when you try to detonate the freighter.
  • Night of the Soul: Choose demonstration.
  • Battle for Detroit: Be peaceful and calm, kneel or raise your hands. Don’t accept Perkin’s deal after establishing your barricade and win all QTEs when the camp is attacked. When all androids are pushed back, choose to sing or kiss North (only available if in love with her).
  • Battle for Detroit 2: Connor must resist the hacking attempt by CyberLife.

Connor:
Connor can die several times and come back. It won’t lock you out of the trophy when Connor has died a few times during your playthrough, but it’s highly recommended to let him stay alive most of the time (due to Hank).

  • Last Chance, Connor: Find Jericho (refer to BLOODHOUND ).
  • Crossroads: Let him become deviant.
  • Night of the Soul: When you are in control of Markus, forgive Connor and don’t kill him.
  • Battle for Detroit: In the CyberLife tower, save Hank, interpose when the fighting scene starts, win the QTEs during the fight with the other Connor, tell Hank that his dog’s name is Sumo and that his son’s name is Cole.
  • Battle for Detroit 2: Resist the hacking attempt by CyberLife.

Kara & Alice:
Kara and Alice are possibly the easiest ones to lose on your playthrough as they got the most opportunities to die. Always be careful and make sure that Markus is demonstrating peacefully.

  • Stormy Night: Let Kara become a deviant, get to Alice and escape from Todd’s house.
  • On The Run: Complete all QTEs during the highway chase so Kara and Alice will reach the other side.
  • Zlatko: Don’t get a reset as Kara or successfully get your memory back after you’ve been resetted. Reach Alice and escape together from Zlatko’s house.
  • Crossroads: When escaping from Jericho and getting assaulted by the police, pretend to be dead and hold still when the police checks up on Kara and Alice.
  • Battle for Detroit: Successfully sneak up past the soldiers, save Luther and afterwards choose the risky route that only takes 3 minutes. Lie about Alice, stay calm and don’t do anything when Luther wants you to shoot.
  • Battle for Detroit 2: At the bus station, go to the left and don’t give the family their tickets back when they ask you about them. There’ll also be some patrolling soldiers trying to scan you, avoid that. Go to the ticket control and reach the bus. Avoid getting brought to the boat at all costs, you MUST steal the tickets from the family as soon as possible.
  • Battle for Detroit 3: At the border control, don’t sacrifice anyone when you’re about to be scanned. If Markus is doing a demonstration and the public opinion of androids is supportive, you will reach Canada without being killed.

Luther:
Make sure that Markus is demonstrating peacefully and that the public opinion is supportive.

  • Midnight Train: Don’t let the cop find Luther or the other androids in the house. Refer to NOTHING TO SEE HERE  on how to fool the cop.
  • Crossroads: When Luther is shot while escaping from Jericho, Kara must save him. He will be left behind afterwards, but don’t worry about it.
  • Battle for Detroit: While sneaking past the police on the street, Kara and Alice will see a captured Luther. Choose to save him and take the risky route that only takes 3 minutes. Lie about Alice, stay calm and don’t do anything when Luther wants Kara to shoot.
  • Battle for Detroit 2: At the bus station, go to the left and don’t give the family their tickets back when they ask you about them. There’ll also be some patrolling soldiers trying to scan you, avoid that. Go to the ticket control and reach the bus. Avoid getting brought to the boat at all costs, you MUST steal the tickets from the family as soon as possible.
  • Battle for Detroit 3: At the border control, don’t sacrifice anyone when you’re about to be scanned. If Markus is doing a demonstration and the public opinion of androids is supportive, you will reach Canada without being killed.

North:
Make sure that the public opinion of androids is supportive and be peaceful as Markus.

  • Crossroads: While escaping from Jericho after initiating the detonation countdown, save her.
  • Night of the Soul: Choose to do a demonstration.
  • Battle for Detroit: As Markus, be peaceful and calm, kneel or raise your hands. Don’t accept Perkin’s deal after establishing your barricade and win all QTEs when the camp is attacked. When the androids are pushed back, kiss her (when Markus and North have a romantic relationship) or sing.

Hank:
Refer to Partners  on how to keep Hank alive.
Simon:

  • The Stratford Tower: When Simon is shot, let Markus save him. After Markus and the others have reached the roof, leave Simon behind and don’t kill him so he will hide on the roof.
  • Public Enemy: Don’t let Connor go to the roof and find Simon. It will always lead to his death. Instead, find the deviant in the kitchen and try to avoid Connor’s shutdown so he can kill the deviant. This way, Connor won’t go to the roof.
  • Freedom March: Markus needs to choose to disperse if you did not take the security android from Spare Parts with you. If you did take him with you, then Markus can also try to sacrifice himself. John (the android from Spare Parts) will sacrifice himself instead and save Markus.
  • Night of the Soul: Choose to do a demonstration.
  • Battle for Detroit: As Markus, be peaceful and calm, kneel or raise your hands. Don’t accept Perkin’s deal after establishing your barricade and win all QTEs when the camp is attacked. When all androids are pushed back, choose to sing or kiss North (only available if Markus is in love with her).

Josh:

  • Crossroads: Save him when Markus is on his way to detonate the freighter.
  • Night of the Soul: Choose to do a demonstration.
  • Battle for Detroit: As Markus, be peaceful and calm, kneel or raise your hands. Don’t accept Perkin’s deal after establishing your barricade and win all QTEs when the camp is attacked. When all androids are pushed back, choose to sing or kiss North (only available if Markus is in love with her).
