INTRODUÇÃO

The 7th installment in the Resident Evil franchise. This time, the game is first person and is much more like a horror game than the previous, action based games in the series. You play as Ethan, who has received a suspicious email from Mia, his wife, who has been missing for 3 years. Ethan travels to Louisiana in search of Mia, but instead finds something much worse…

The platinum is fairly simple. The miscellaneous trophies are all self explanatory, and there’s nothing difficult there. There are a lot of collectibles however. You’ll be picking up 74 on Easy/Normal and then 33 on Madhouse difficulty. This is the bulk of the platinum, and the main thing you will be looking out for. There’s also a trophy for completing the game in under 4 hours, this is very easy to do however once you know where to go, etc. During your speedrun, you can combine all of the gold trophies together like I did. If the difficulty is on easy you’ll have no reason to use the med packs, and you gradually heal over time anyway. You will also not need weapons from the box because you’ll be running past nearly every enemy anyway. Tip: enemies cannot open doors in this game (besides bosses) so use that to your advantage. Overall, there’s nothing difficult here besides Madhouse difficulty and even that isn’t too bad.

PASSO A PASSO

Step 1: Complete the game on Easy/Normal, Getting all the Collectibles and Misc Trophies. Ending #1

I advise just playing the game for fun first, it’ll mean an extra playthrough later on but the game is meant to be played without a guide and you solving the puzzles yourself. However, as this is a platinum roadmap you can get all the collectibles and misc trophies on your first playthrough. There’s 74 collectibles you want to get. They consist of; 33 files, 20 Mr Everywhere, 18 Antique Coins and 4 Video Tapes. Each of the video tapes also have a trophy tied to it, besides the very first one. Here’s a complete breakdown of the missable trophies and tape trophies in the order you’ll encounter them in game:

Can’t Catch Me | Mia Video Tape
Duck if You Love Life | Jack Boss Fight (Morgue)
Slash Slash, Slashity Slash! | Marguerite Boss Fight (Old House)
Less Is More | Somewhat missable, make sure you shoot a group of bugs with a shotgun
Back Off, Mrs. B! | Marguerite Boss Fight (Old House)
Fly Swatter | Marguerite Boss Fight (Greenhouse)
Out Before Dessert | Happy Birthday Video Tape
That’s a Spicy Meat-a-ball | Remote Bombs on Wrecked Ship

Also, after reaching the Pier you’ll be given a choice. Picking one with give one ending, picking the other will give another. Pick whoever you want your first playthrough and remember to pick the other on one of your subsequent playthroughs. Also try to create one of each item in the game. There’s 8 different items you can make, and this is done by combining something with either a chemical or a strong chemical. More info on that can be found in the trophy guide. This does not carry over between playthroughs so you need to make all 8 in one playthrough.

Upon completing Step 1, you will earn:

Step 2: 4 Hour Speed Run, Item Box Trophy, Med Kit Trophy. Ending #2

Hopefully you remember everything from your first playthrough, if however you get stuck at any point you can pause the game and that’ll stop the timer. You can check your current time on the pause menu by going to “Stats”, this’ll show your time played. This step should be fairly easy, you will finish the game much sooner than 4 hours. Aim for the following Milestones and you’ll beat it under 4 hours easy enough (took me 2 hours 20 minutes)

  • Jack Baker Boss (Morgue) – Before 1 hour
  • Marguerite Baker Boss (Greenhouse) – Before 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Jack Baker Boss – Before 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Wrecked Ship Elevator Repair – Before 3 hours
  • Final Boss – Before 3 hours 45 minutes

These times are just a guideline, you’ll do it much quicker than this. Just remember, if you get stuck, pause the game and look for what to do. Dying will add to the time, so try to avoid that. The other two things you want to focus on is using the item box and using med kits. You are FORCED to use the item box 3 times in the game, so you can’t use it at all. However, if you die to a boss it’ll say “Manage Items” on the death screen, you can use this and it won’t count as an item box use. As for the med kits, just don’t use any and don’t accidentally press R1. You get to use 3 of them anyway, so save those 3 for emergencies.

Upon completing Step 2, you will earn:

Just A Memory Now
Just Get Me Outta Here
Resource Manager
Walk it Off

Step 3: Madhouse Difficulty and Madhouse Antique Coins

Madhouse is unlocked once you complete the game on Easy/Normal. It changes the game up quite a bit by adding enemies to different places and moving items about such as the keys, bullets etc. You will go into the critical health state in one or two hits at full health, and there’s about 3 checkpoints over the whole game. To save the game, you need to use the newly added Cassette Tapes to the Tape Players. Adding one allows you to save once. There are plenty of these, so make sure you save a lot as you will have more than enough.

You will have all the bonuses from the past two steps at your disposal though so this will make things much easier. As soon as you get to an item box, take out the: Albert, Circular Saw, Essence of Defense, Secrets of Defense, X-Ray Glasses. The walking boots are optional, as the don’t do much and take up an inventory space. The main thing you’ll be using this playthrough is the circular saw. It is very powerful, and when combined with the essence/secrets of defense you pretty much cannot die. Those two defense items make it so you take no damage from blocking, so, you hold out the circular saw on an enemy and then block when he is about to attack. This works on all enemies besides the insects and the big molded who puke on you. If you can master this you’ll have no trouble. There’s 33 antique coins you also need to get on this playthrough, and they are in different places from the previous antique coins. Follow the included video for locations of them all.

If you missed any of the other trophies, try and get them done this step. If you don’t then you’ll need to do another playthrough on Easy after this to clear that up. Be very careful as well to pick up antique coins again if you die. If you die they don’t save and you need to pick them up again, you wouldn’t want to get to the end of the game on 32 antique coins.

Upon completing Step 3, you will earn:

Who’s Your Daddy Now?
Mad Pelicans
Biosplattered

GUIA DE TROFÉUS

Biosplattered
Unlock all trophies.
Collect all other trophies to unlock this. Congrats!
Playing it Safe
Complete the game on Easy.
Self Explanatory, complete the game on at least Easy difficulty. Stacks with Normal Difficulty. The Nightmare’s Finally Over
Complete the game on Normal.

Self Explanatory, complete the game on at least Normal difficulty. Stacks with Madhouse Difficulty.

Who’s Your Daddy Now?
Complete the game on Madhouse.

Madhouse is the hardest difficulty in Resident Evil 7. It is only unlocked upon completing the game for the first time, and then can be selected from New Game. I highly recommend leaving this trophy till last as you’ll have all the unlockables from the other trophies to bring with you, which will make it much, much easier. The changes in madhouse are:

  • Enemies have more health
  • More frequent enemies, enemies were there were none before
  • Enemies move much, much faster
  • Limited number of manual saves
  • Very few checkpoints
  • Items in different places, keys in difference places
  • Harder boss fights

With the circular saw (unlocked from 4hr speedrun) and the essence/secrets of defense from the speedrun and the collectibles, this difficulty isn’t that hard. You just have to manage your saves as you don’t get loads, but you get enough so you can save it at least once at each spot you come to. Don’t go crazy though, as you’ll need at least two left for the very end of the game in the lab mine. Some notable tricky bits if you are having trouble.

Mia (Attic Fight)
The fight with Mia is probably the hardest boss in the game, just because you don’t have your bonuses and you get a very limited amount of ammo IF you don’t remember to pick up the axe from where you drop it. You cannot waste any bullets on her body, you must headshot and not miss. If you run out of ammo then you’ll have to find a box you haven’t picked up, or just let her kill you. if you didn’t pick up the axe then you’ll have to let her kill you as you won’t be able to do damage. The axe does not do much damage to her at all however.

Jack Baker (Garage Fight)
This boss has changed a bit, the car key is in a locked box instead of on the table. You’ll need to get the lockpick from the other side of the room and then use it on the lockbox. Kite Jack around the room when you are doing so.

Marguerite (Greenhouse)
This fight is probably the hardest in terms of the fight, because the bugs can do a lot of damage to you and it’s difficult to find her when she runs off and lays the bug nests. She is slow however when she is actually fighting you, and you can move away easy enough from her. Just make sure when she does the jump attack when she is on the walls/ceiling to either block or move out of the room. The circular saw works very well on her.

After making the Neurotoxin
This for me was the hardest part of the game, you better hope you have the magnum with ammo, the grenade launcher and ammo in your other guns. The best way to do it is slowly clear the enemies as they spawn and make your way up the mine shaft. There’s one of the big molded at the end, simply spawn him in then run down the mine shaft again and save the game. This will make it so you don’t have to kill all those enemies again, and that big molded should have disappeared as he had for me. To be sure though, you can kill him else if he is there for you you’ll have to kill him each time if you die at the next part.

Fall down the broken staircase at the top, and you’ll be greeted by two of the big guys, one of them being the biggest in the game. The tactic here is to stay in the small corridor you entered from. Use the magnum on the big guy, as well as the grenade launcher. You want him dead asap. He should die quick to the magnum headshots and the grenade launcher. Once he is dead, you can either now kite the other one round the room or kill him in the same way. There are also trip mines on the ladder, you’ll need to shoot them before climbing up.

Another alternative if you don’t have ammo, make a neuro round for the grenade launcher. Aggro both of them, and then shoot a regular grenade at the ladder to get rid of at least 2/3 tripmines. The two will come down the corridor, hold block until they are at the very back. Now you can use a neuro round to stun both of them for a good few seconds. Go up the corridor and look at them, when they come out of the stun, stun them again. Quickly run to the ladder and shoot any tripmines left over. You should have enough time to climb the ladder to safety.

Behind Closed Doors
Close an open door by yourself.

Just close any door. You can open one up and then close it again. Either walk into it to close it or press on it.

Arms in the Air
Block an enemy attack by guarding.

This will work on any enemy in the game, including Mia at the start. Just hold and wait for an enemy to attack you. You’ll block the attack and the trophy will unlock.

A-ha!
Obtain something by closely examining an item.

At the very start of the game, you’ll see Mia’s handbag in the garden of the Guest House. Pick up the bag and then take Mia’s driving license out of it. This trophy is unmissable as there’s plenty of chances to do this in the game and a few antique coins require it as well.

Master of Unlocking
Use a lock pick to open something.

You’ll get this on your collectible run as one of the antique coins is in a lockbox. However, there are a few locked boxes in the game that need a screwdriver to open them up. The very first one can be found in the “Old Footage” video tape. There’s a lockpick on the ground right in front of you when you start the tape, then you can unlock one of the cupboard drawers inside. If you missed this, you can get it in the Main House. See the video below for more information.

Nice Try
Put an unrelated object on a shadow plinth.

MISSABLE!

There are 4 shadow plinths in the game. You are supposed to put a weird looking wooden statuette on them and then move it about to make the image on the painting in front of you. For the trophy, you just need to put a random object on it like your gun or knife. Once the correct object is placed on one though, you can’t get it off so make sure you get this trophy at one point. There is one very early in the game though, and it can be found in the Main House.

Open Your Eyes
Use psychostimulants.

You’ll find quite a few of these throughout the game, but the first one is found in the room with the Deer in it after using the shadow plinth in the Main House. Psychostimulants show you where objects are, as well as collectibles for a short amount of time. Simply open up your inventory and then use it. The trophy will unlock shortly afterwards.

In the Bag
Increase your item slots.

MISSABLE!

To increase your item slots you need to find a bag, which will increase your carrying capacity. There are only 4 of them in the game, so this is missable, but pretty hard to miss. There’s one in the save room of the Old House, one in the Master Bedroom of the Old House, One in a locked room when you are playing the Video Tape on the Wrecked Ship and then one in the Boat House after the wrecked ship. Increasing your inventory space once is all that is needed for the trophy.

Things Got Personal
Finish off an enemy with the knife.

MISSABLE!

This works on any enemy, and you’ll more than likely get this from just playing the game. You can shoot the molded 3-4 times and then kill them with the knife, or just slash a bug in the Old House. The bug way is easier, but here’s the very first enemy in the game you can kill with a knife in case you never did it.

Slash Slash, Slashity Slash!
Clear insects off a door using a knife.

MISSABLE!

There’s only one time you can do this and that’s during the Marguerite fight in the Old House. When you first encounter her, you’ll try to open a door but she’ll slam it and spiders will go over the door. Just slash the insects off with your knife. There’s also lockers with spiders on them throughout the house, clearing these off will also unlock the trophy. The trophy might not unlock from the lockers however as it seems to be a bit glitchy. If it doesn’t unlock, try it with the door instead of a locker.

Less is More
Take down two or more enemies with one shot.

MISSABLE!

This is much easier than it sounds, all you have to do is shoot a group of bugs/wasps with the shotgun. The game counts each one as an enemy so you’ll easily get it with the shotgun. The flamer will not work.

That’s a Spicy Meat-a-ball
Kill an enemy by attaching a Remote Bomb to them and detonating it.

MISSABLE!

You can only get this on the Wrecked Ship at the end of the game. There are many remote bombs on the ship, but attaching one to an enemy is tricky. The enemy has to grab you in a specific way and knock you down. You also need the Remote bomb equipped and in your quick slots to get the option to attach a remote bomb. If the enemy grabs you in the correct way, you’ll fall over and it’ll say to plant a remote bomb. You’ll stick the bomb in the enemies mouth and he’ll explode, unlocking the trophy.

1st Place at the Science Fair
Create all items that contain Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid.

MISSABLE!

There are eight different combinations of items you need to make in one playthrough. This is easy enough to do if you are going for it, but there aren’t enough items if you keep making the same one. The combinations are as follows:

  • Herb + Chem Fluid = First Aid Med Kit
  • Herb + Strong Chem Fluid = Strong First Aid Med Kit
  • Gunpowder + Chem Fluid = Handgun Ammo
  • Gunpowder + Strong Chem Fluid = Enhanced Handgun Ammo
  • Solid Fuel + Chem Fluid = Burner Fuel
  • Solid Fuel + Strong Chem Fluid = Flame Rounds
  • Supplements + Chem Fluid = Psychostimulants
  • Supplements + Strong Chem Fluid = Neuro Rounds

Just keep note of what you have made and what you haven’t, the item that has the fewest spawns is the supplements and was the reason I missed the trophy in my first playthrough. Just make sure when you find ingredients, put them in the item box to use later on so you can get this trophy. The trophy will unlock upon making the 8th one.

Can’t Catch Me
Complete the “Mia” videotape without being spotted by Marguerite.

MISSABLE!

This is missable, but it’s really hard to miss. The “Mia” videotape can be found in the Recreation Room on the 2nd floor of the Baker Residence. If you get spotted Marguerite is going to grab you and you’ll have to restart. This does not void the trophy. Only way you can mess up is getting seen and then running away to the end. Don’t do this and you’ll get the trophy. For a video walkthrough of the video tape, refer to the video below.

Out Before Dessert
Complete the “Happy Birthday” videotape within 5 minutes.

MISSABLE!

The “Happy Birthday” video tape can be found in the attic in the Kids Room (the kids room in the main house). You need to complete the puzzle within 5 minutes. Here’s how you do it, and a video walkthrough below.

  1. Pick up the “Candle” from the Clown to start the puzzle.
  2. Head into the room with the cake in it and Lucas will talk to you.
  3. Once he is done talking, remove the “Winding Key” from the keg.
  4. Open the lock on the box in front of you, the combination from right to left:
    • Hanging Guy, Tombstone with Crow, Baby
  5. Bring the “Straw Doll” to the stove and burn it to get the “Dummy Finger”, light the “Candle”
  6. Go to your right and use the “Candle” on the rope on the door handle to burn it.
  7. Pick up the “Balloon” next to the cupboard in this room.
  8. Put the “Balloon” on the gas pipe on your right after you exit the room.
  9. Bring the “Quill Pen” to the clown, put the “Dummy Finger”, “Quill Pen” and “Winding Key” on it.
  10. Go back to balloon room, put LOSER into the combination lock, grab the “Handle”
  11. Bring the “Handle” to the cake room and use it to stop the water.
  12. Burn the candle again, and then put it on the cake.

Be Kind, Please Rewind
Watch all the videotapes in a single playthrough.

MISSABLE!

There are 4 video tapes in the game, you just need to watch them and not complete them. However, as most of them have a trophy attached to them it is well worth completing them. The four are:

  • Derelict House Footage | Guest House
  • Mia | Recreation Room, Main House
  • Happy Birthday | Kid’s Room Attic, Main House
  • Old Video Tape | Wrecked Ship (Story Related)

Very important, all of them are missable. You can free roam the main house / old house throughout most of the game, but once you go onto the Pier with Mia/Zoe, you cannot return. Just be careful and follow the video below exactly, making a few manual saves along the way in case you do mess up.

None of the collectibles carry over between playthroughs besides the Mr Everywhere’s. You can check at anytime how many collectibles you have by pausing the game and selecting “Stats”. For the Files, you check there by pressing the touchpad and tabbing over to the tab with the info on files. Refer to Mr. Nowhere for a video guide for all 74 collectibles in the game.

Pelicans in Your Pocket
Obtain all of the Antique Coins in Easy or Normal difficulty.

MISSABLE!

There are 18 antique coins to find on Easy/Normal difficulty. You use the antique coins on the bird cages to get health upgrades, or the magnum pistol. This trophy does not stack with the one for finding them all on Madhouse, you need to find them all on Easy/Normal to get this trophy. Refer to Mr. Nowhere for a video guide for all 74 collectibles in the game. Very important, all of them are missable. You can free roam the main house / old house throughout most of the game, but once you go onto the Pier with Mia/Zoe, you cannot return. Just be careful and follow the video below exactly, making a few manual saves along the way in case you do mess up.

Mad Pelicans
Obtain all of the Antique Coins in Madhouse difficulty.

MISSABLE!

Madhouse has a total of 33 Antique Coins, whereas Easy/Normal only has 18. The coins have all moved about, so the 18 in the previous playthrough you did won’t be the same in Madhouse. There are exactly 33 coins as well, so be careful not to miss any as you really don’t want to have to do a madhouse playthrough again. For a location of all 33, refer to the video guide below.

Just like the other collectibles, these are all missable. You need to pick them up and then make it to a save point for them to save. If you die, you’ll have to pick them up again. This is likely to happen on this difficulty so make sure you remember to keep picking them up. You can use the Antique Coins to purchase two additional coins on Madhouse, the attack and defense coins. These don’t count as antique coins, and simply give you an added attack/defense bonus.

(Timeline in Video Description)

The Devil Is in the Details
Read all of the files in a single playthrough.

MISSABLE!

There are a total of 33 files in the game that count for the trophy. There are a lot more than 33 readable notes in the game, but not all of them count towards the trophy. There’s 33 specific ones you need to read. Very important, all of them are missable. You can free roam the main house / old house throughout most of the game, but once you go onto the Pier with Mia/Zoe, you cannot return. Just be careful and follow the video exactly, making a few manual saves along the way in case you do mess up.

He’s Here, There, Everywhere!
Destroy a Mr. Everywhere statuette.

See Mr. Nowhere for more information.

Mr. Nowhere
Destroy all Mr. Everywhere statuettes.

MISSABLE!

There are a total of 20 Mr Everywhere Statuettes in the game. You must destroy them, either by shooting them or slashing them with a knife. Some of them are out of reach though so make sure you have some bullets handy at all times. Very important, all of them are missable. You can free roam the main house / old house throughout most of the game, but once you go onto the Pier with Mia/Zoe, you cannot return. Just be careful and follow the video exactly, making a few manual saves along the way in case you do mess up. Unlike the other collectible types, these ones actually carry over between playthroughs. The Mr Everywhere will respawn so you won’t now exactly which one you are missing unfortunately.

Collectible Milestone Tracker (Before Point-of-no-returns):

These are the only two milestones you need to worry about, because you cannot return to the guesthouse and you cannot return to the main house etc when you leave for the Wrecked Ship on the Pier. If you don’t have the amount show below before leaving for the pier, go back and find the one you missed.

Guest House: 3 Files, 1 Antique Coin, 0 Mr. Everywhere
Before Leaving for the Wrecked Ship: 22 Files, 14 Antique Coins, 15 Mr. Everywhere

Just Get Me Outta Here
Complete the game within 4 hours.

This is much easier than it sounds, even though you probably took over 10hrs on your first playthrough. Once you know where you are going, the game is pretty easy and can be speed run easily. I finished in 2hrs 20mins and that was with dying a couple of times, and taking longer paths than necessary. Play on easy difficulty, there’s no reason to play on the other difficulties. You can even combine this trophy with Resource Manager and Walk it Off like I did. You can pause the game and the timer will stop as well, however if you die and go back to a checkpoint the timer will keep going. Cutscenes don’t matter as you can’t skip them anyway. To check your playing time, look at the “Stats” option in the pause menu. Just make a few manual saves in case you really mess up somewhere. Here’s some times that you want to aim for, preferably much lower:

  • Jack Baker Boss (Morgue) – Before 1hr
  • Marguerite Baker Boss (Greenhouse) – Before 1hr 30mins
  • Jack Baker Boss – Before 2hrs 30mins
  • Wrecked Ship Elevator Repair – Before 3hrs
  • Final Boss – Before 3hrs 45mins

Here’s a speed run of one of my playthroughs. You can follow this video below for all the direct routes and solutions to the puzzles in the game. The final time in the video is 1hr 57mins.

Resource Manager
Complete the game without opening the Item Box more than 3 times.

MISSABLE!

The item box is the military looking box in most of the save rooms. For this trophy you cannot use it at all as you are forced to use it at least twice in the game. If you do mess up though and use it you can salvage it. At the end of the game you are supposed to use it, but on easy difficulty you can just run past everything until you get to the end boss. Die to the boss deliberately then select “Manage Items”. This will not count as you using the item box, but it lets you put things in it and take things out. I don’t recommend you do this, as getting through the lab without a gun isn’t going to be the best thing to do, especially if you are on your speed run playthrough.

You must use the box on two occasions though, they are; before the happy birthday room, as Lucas won’t let you in the room with anything in your inventory and when you come out of the happy birthday room as you need the Valve to get across the bridge. You can check how many times you have accessed the item box in the “Stats” section of the pause menu. The trophy will unlock during the end cutscene.

Walk it Off
Complete the game using only 3 First Aid Meds or less.

Just like the description says, you cannot use more than 3 first aid meds throughout the whole game. It’s best to get this on easy difficulty, as your health regenerates quicker so there’s no reason to use med kits. You also cannot use green herbs in your inventory, this will count as a first aid med in your “stats”. You can however use Steroids, this will increase your max health and heal you, however there’s very few of these in the game. Just don’t press at all, if you can just destroy any first aid meds in your inventory in case you accidentally hit R1.

You can complete the game easy enough using none, but I would use a max of two just in case throughout the game. You can check how many first aids you have used by looking in the “stats” section of the pause menu. The trophy will unlock during the end cutscene.

Back Off, Mrs. B!
Fight off Marguerite while she wanders the old house to make her run away.

MISSABLE!

When you are in the old house, you will eventually try to open a door and Marguerite will slam a door in your face and cover the door in spiders. Clear the spiders, and now find her in the house. All you have to do is enough damage to her and then she will eventually run away. Be careful, making sure to kill the bugs that she spawns as they do a lot of damage over time. Trophy will unlock when she grabs you and leaves.

Duck If You Love Life
Avoid Jack’s scissor attack by crouching.

MISSABLE!

You can get this while fighting Jack in the Morgue. Halfway through the fight he will rip open the caged area and take out a modified chainsaw that looks like a big pair of scissors. All you have to do is duck when he is about to attack, you’ll be too low for him to hit you and the trophy will unlock.

Fly Swatter
Shoot and knock back Marguerite while she’s leaping at you.

MISSABLE!

During the fight with Marguerite in the Greenhouse, she’ll be in a bug like form and a few times during the fight she will crawl along the walls and ceiling. For the trophy, you need to shoot her as she is leaping. She’ll stop and look at you just before leaping. You will want to use the shotgun for this as it has the most stopping power. It might take a few tries for this, and sometimes you’ll think you’ve done it but no trophy. You have to stun her so that she falls on he back on the floor. If you shot her and this didn’t happen the trophy won’t unlock. Refer to the video below for a visual walkthrough.
